Driveway is being paved today. Granite folks came up from N.H. to make a template for the counters and were gone before our visit. Finish carpenters are working on banisters, railings, installing a medicine cabinet, doors, trim, and all the other stuff they do. One of the guys was working with the right side stair banister. He had to go out the front door to turn it around, then march back in. I never dealt with any lumber that long.

The tile hearth and fireplace-surround were installed after we visited yesterday. The mantel and side trim are poised for installation.
